Statistics of the Units Used

Notes

Most of the units and troop types used are given in the latest Chaos Army list, available on the official Epic Armageddon web site. There are however, a couple of extra units, added for a little extra colour. Other units in the list should be in the latest version of the Chaos army list for Epic Armageddon. If there is anything that I have missed, please drop me an email to let me know.

Chaos Cavalry

These are generally Chaos Cultists who have found access to horses or the preferred riding beasts of the world. You can use Imperial Guard Rough Riders to represent these troops, or possibly the old Chaos riders with mounts such as Disks of Tzeencth or Khorne Juggernoughts - although these will need a little extra conversion work to make the riders cultists.

Sacrifices

Many warbands manage to aquire groups of sacrificies, fanatical cultists, captured slaves or the remains of defeated armies or warbands. These unfortunates are banded together into groups and forced through a harrowing set of rituals. On the battlefield they are herded towards the enemy where the carnage and sheer strength of emotion, coupled with the binding rituals, attracts all manner of Chaos Daemons and entities. Units of sacrifices can be represented by stands consisting of a large mix of basic infantry types. Marines probably would not let themselves be used in this way, but Orks, Eldar, Cultists and Imperial Guards would all be fine. Perhaps Tyranids would not work quite so well though.

Chaos Sacrifices
Type Speed Armour CC FF
Infantry 15cm - 5+ 6+
Weapons - Combat weapons, pistols
Weapon Range Firepower
Combat weapons (Base Contact) Assault Weapons
Pistols (15cm) Small Arms
Notes - Bound: The Sacrifices are an exception to the normal rules for destroyed stands. Instead of removing the unit and rolling for its survival at the end of the game as normal, roll a single dice immediately it is destroyed. On the result of a 1-3, the stand is removed as normal. The stand does not roll for survival at the end of the game. On the result of a 4-6, the stand is removed and replaced with a stand or Daemons (Furies, Daemonettes, Plaguebearers, Bloodletters or Horrors depending on the Chaos Power that the warband follows). Sacrifices can be killed voluntarily before a game. In this case, roll as normal, but add +1 to the dice result to represent the extra preparation involved.

Traitor PDF

On wartorn worlds, the defence forces and local militia are forced to choose their allegiance very carefully. Inevitably, a number of personal guard regiments, local barracked forces and specialist state guards set in defence of places such as drop points and airports, will decide that their chances of living are enhanced by joining Chaos. Also, wandering bands or warriors are found, the remains of fierce battles and dramatic events. While these bands are often poorly equipped, they can be encouraged to join warbands for security or simply in return of money or a to be given a purpose. Traitor PDF forces are represented by Imperial Guard stands, or any military units that you feel fit the bill.

Traitor PDF
