Things were not looking to good for the Imperial fleet at this point, and things were made worse by the Courageous failing its reload orders. All that Tim could do was make his minimum moves, including the Hood drifting 11cm forwards, and make sure that the best china was secure and away!

Chaos Turn Seven

By contrast, I again got lucky on my special orders. E squadron of Idolators locked on, while the Sariel once again reloaded its vast launch bays. The Infidel squadron powered up their engines in an effort to get them to their targets quickly. The entire fleet then moved at full speed towards the three Imperial Dictators.

However, they were still out of range, so the only thing that was left was to deploy four wings of Fighters, which stayed close to the main fleet, and remove a couple of blast markers in the end phase.

It seemd like the entire of Furious had been saturated with cold air, as the various crews ran their checks and prepared for the coming conflict. Every member knew that the odds were against them, but not one voiced the option of turning tail and fighting another day. Concentration was written across Commander Wilks face, as he weighed up the coming battle. The icons representing the Chaos fleet seemed to move more quickly now, as the distance counted down. The lights across the Furious and its two sister ships went out, their black shapes difficult to find against the backdrop of the void and their energy emmissions kept to a bare minimum. Glancing around, Johanson saw each officer, strangely backlit by their terminals. Only the Servitors seemed unchanged and unbothered by the recent turn of events.
