The Imperial fleet won the first turn, and started moving in a way which was to puzzle me for most of the game. No
special orders were given to any ships and the entire fleet moved 15cm forward and made a forty five degree turn
'north east', heading towards the asteroid field.
With no ships within range, we moved directly on to the ordnance phase, and the three Dictators unleashed four
wings of bombers each, for a total of twelve wings, and these sheltered around the carriers in preparation for
the coming battle.

Again, no ships were given special orders and the advance group, consisting of the Astaroth and two squadrons of
Idolators, sped forwards at their maximum 30cm. The rest of the fleet also raced forward, slightly behind this
advance group, in order to close the gap and take the fight to the enemy. Still out of range, all that the Chaos
fleet was able to do was to release four wings of Swiftdeath fighters, in the hope that they would be able to provide
some degree of protection from the Imperial bombers.

Johanson risked a view of the tactical display and saw the Chaos fleet inexorably making its way towards them.
There was a brief groan that echoed around the Furious as hanger bays were opened and meter thick walls shifted
under the rapidly changing presure with the leaked air. Looking at the external camera screens, he saw waves of
Starhawk bombers swarm as they exited the confines of the ship and drew clear of the uneven superstructure.
They buzzed around and slowly reformed into distinct squadrons, entering a holding pattern around the three
huge carriers. While they looked so small, Johanson had seen them in action and drew a little comfort that any
enemy ships would need to face these tiny guardians first. Looking back at the tactical display, he was further
reassured by the Chaos fleet releasing significantly less attack craft. The knowledge that the Imperial fleet
had this advantage made him relax moderately and he settled a little lower into his chair and surveyed his
display, watching for the first signs of any structural damage to the ship.
