Introduction
Undaunted by their earlier defeat the forces of Chaos have returned to the nameless ruined city of some lost
civilization. What could they be looking for? Is it some ancient artefact of terrible power? No one knows
for sure, but the Crimson Fists are not about to let them find it, whatever it is!
|
Turn One
- Basically the same detachments as the first game, but as you can see the Assault marines did not fail their
command roll on the first turn this time
- A SM Commander (Librarian Tiberius) occupies the center Land Raider, flanked by the 2 Terminator Land Raiders
of the Detachment he is attached to (in the good old days when 2 stands of Terminators could ride in 1 Land Raider,
and the attached Commander received his Land Raider for free!)
|
Same as above from rear point of view, the Chaos Terminator detachment can be seen
moving in the distance (center-top)
|
Turn Two
- The forces of Chaos hurl themselves against the well dung-in Crimson Fist defenders on the right
side of the ruined city
- The two Devastator units which occupied the lower bunker have been detroyed.
“We must recover their gene-seed at all costs brothers!”
- Tactical detachment #1 (in the crater) “Fire at will, purge the Chaos filth!”
|
Turn Three
- On the left flank the Khorne Terminators, supported by a detachment of Black Legion Chaos Space
Marines and Chaos Land Speeders prepare to overwhelm Tactical Detachment #2 of the Crimson Fists
and Assault marines who have taken cover in the woods.
- A Land Raider detachment (top-right) blasts the Chaos Land Speeders from the air seconds later
with a storm of Las-cannon fire
|
- Much to the chagrin of the arrogant Khorne Terminators, Librarian Tiberius executes a double move
order from his central position and unleashes the full fury of the Crimson Fist Terminators and Land
Raiders upon them detroying two of their Land Raiders
- Faced with such a ferocious onslaught the forces of Chaos decide to withdraw from the field of battle,
but vow they will return . . . . .
|
Conclusion
We both surpassed the VP total needed to win the game at the end of the turn, but I had more; thus a minor
Imperial victory. However, this was before we knew that we had to recalculate the VP’s from 0 at the end
of each turn.
